The firm has a solid position as a mid-market investment bank and plays in that role very well.
In general, the people that work at JMP are very good people with strong morals and family values.
As the firm increases the percentage of revenue coming from its M&A / capital raising, it needs to hire junior resources to adequately staff those deals.
Advice to Management
Management should recruit earlier in the cycle to avoid getting the "leftovers". They should also be quicker to promote good talent and churn under performing talent at the junior levels.
2 phone interviews and then a super day. Super day was at the office of your preferred location.
There were technicals scattered throughout the first interview and the super day. Second phone interview was fit and behavioral.
