JASPER has been remanufacturing quality products since 1942 and today we are the nation's largest remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, rear axle assemblies, marine engines, stern drives, performance engines, and electric motors.
JASPER sincerely cares about you, your family, and the wellness of all. We offer two different medical/prescription plans that allow you options that are affordable, competitive and designed to fit your family’s needs. To support our ongoing Wellness initiative, JASPER also offers credits that allow you to lower your weekly healthcare premiums for additional savings, as well as an annual health screening that is provided on site – for free! Other types of coverage, such as dental, vision, and disability are also available.
At JASPER Health WoRx, located in both our Jasper (Wernsing Road) and Crawford County facilities, we offer treatment for flu, cold and sinus problems, other minor ailments.
Health WoRx also provides blood work, school physicals and other services…all for only $10 per visit!... AND prescriptions for medications that are maintained on site cost only $4!!!
Health WoRx has flexible hours to meet the needs of our Associate-Owners, Spouses and Dependents… and you don’t have to be on JASPER’s Healthcare plan to enjoy the benefits of Health WoRx!
Paid Time Off/Unpaid Time Off/Paid Holidays
In keeping with JASPER’s dedication to our Mission Statement “Do it Right… And Have Fun!”, special emphasis is placed on Paid Time Off (PTO) so that Associate-Owners may enjoy periods of rest and relaxation with family and friends. JASPER’s PTO program is designed for the mutual benefit of everyone. PTO is offered in full day, half day and even hourly increments to allow for flexibility in Associates-Owner’s schedules.
JASPER also provides all full-time hourly Associate-Owners with Unpaid Time Off (UPTO). UPTO is unpaid absence from work that does not fall under JASPER’s attendance program. Associate-Owners may use UPTO in hourly increments or to cover a half-day or full day.
JASPER also understands how special the holidays are to our Associate-Owners and their families. To provide additional time off, JASPER observes nine (9) paid holidays each year. We observe the traditional holidays and also include Good Friday and the day after Thanksgiving.
JASPER has also set aside time for Associates to visit our JASPER HealthWoRx on-site clinic and health center during the workday when the need calls for it, or to visit one-on-one with our company Chaplain.
Two Retirement Plans
With JASPER’s 401K plan, you can make a contribution of up to 75% of your weekly pay. JASPER then matches your contribution 50 cents on the dollar up to $6,000. That means you can receive as much as $3,000 extra into your account each year! Also, JASPER accepts rollovers from other qualified plans.
Most importantly, our 401K has outperformed more than 90% of the stock market over the past 15 years!
JASPER is a 100% Associate-Owned company. As such, we are proud to offer Associate-Owners our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). With our ESOP plan, simply by being a JASPER Associate-Owner, you will automatically receive shares of stock FREE! The value of your account is directly related to JASPER’s success. As JASPER’s profits grow, so does your account! As you can see below, our stock price has sky-rocketed over the past 5 years… and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that!
JASPER is not only committed to ensuring that our Associate-Owners are supported in the work environment, we also provide support for our Associate-Owners to live happy, healthy lives outside of work. To demonstrate that commitment to the health and well-being of our Associate-Owners and families, JASPER offers fully equipped fitness centers at most of its production facilities, as well as providing gym membership reimbursements for our Associate-Owners outside of Southern Indiana. A full time trainer is also readily available to all Associate-Owners to provide additional support with questions regarding nutrition, fitness plans, etc. To promote the healthy lifestyles of Associate-Owners and insured spouses, JASPER also offers yearly health screenings that are provided for free! An added benefit is that participation in the yearly health screenings makes you eligible for discounts on your weekly health insurance premiums!
JASPER is committed to helping the community in many ways, including providing internships for our student learners. Each year, JASPER offers internship opportunities for college students to further their knowledge and real world experience in their desired field of study.
Throughout their internship, students are mentored by our seasoned Associates and provided meaningful projects to complete.
Each paid internship not only provides the students with meaningful hands on experience in their field of study, but also opens the door for potential full time positions upon completion of their degree.

Outstanding benefits including medical and dental insurance, a 50% matching 401K program, and shares of stock are gifted to every associate annually. Hours are flexible. Management listens to associates and encourages all associate owners to submit improvement ideas to help improve the company. If an associate wants to grow, there are countless training opportunities and multiple advancement opportunities.
I have worked here 14 years and I don't have any current cons that come to mind.
Advice to Management
Keep listening to the associates and don't change the culture. Our people and our culture is what makes Jasper Engines the company of choice!!!
