Mission: Our mission — as individuals and as a company — is to improve patients’ lives by identifying, developing and commercializing meaningful products that address unmet medical needs.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (NASDAQ: JAZZ) is an international biopharmaceutical company focused on improving patients’ lives by identifying, developing, and commercializing meaningful products that address unmet medical needs.
We have a diverse portfolio of products and product candidates, with a focus in the areas of sleep and hematology/oncology. We also support commercial products in other therapeutic areas where we can meaningfully address serious medical needs.
As part of our unwavering commitment to improve patients’ lives, we are continuing to expand our commercial product portfolio and our research and development pipeline in therapeutic areas that can leverage our unique expertise. We do this through a growth strategy of growing sales of the existing medicines in our portfolio; acquiring commercial products or product candidates that are in late-stage development; and pursuing focused development of our pipeline of differentiated therapies.
Everything we do at Jazz Pharmaceuticals is focused on three things: putting patients first, being a great place to work, and living our shared values.
What’s in a Name?
Our name was inspired by the talented jazz musicians, each a specialist with an individual style, who come together to make music in concert. Each talented team member, working in collaborative and creative teams, contributes to a common goal: to improve patients’ lives.
We are committed to conducting our business with integrity and the pursuit of excellence in all that we do. Our management team and our Board of Directors are committed to honesty and compliance with all laws, rules, regulations and corporate policies that apply to our business, and we expect the same commitment from our employees, consultants, business partners and service providers. In particular, we are committed to acting responsibly, safely and with transparency in our interactions with patients, doctors and other stakeholders in the healthcare system.
Comprehensive Compliance Program
Compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations in the countries where we do business is an overriding principle of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ corporate culture. The company’s commitment to ethical behavior is implemented through comprehensive compliance policies, employee training and monitoring programs and an open-door policy for reporting suspected violations. Supply Chain Transparency
Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc and its subsidiaries (“Jazz” or “the Company”) are committed to operating our global business with integrity and upholding a high level of ethical conduct among our employees and business partners. We expect that suppliers which provide materials for use in our tangible goods for sale (“Product Suppliers”) to adopt sound human rights practices, to treat workers fairly, with dignity and respect and in all cases to eliminate human trafficking and slavery in their workplace.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Standards of Conduct for Supply Chain
The following Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is intended to be responsive to the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 and the UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015.
Verification: Jazz has existing procedures for assessing our Product Suppliers and is in the process of enhancing these procedures to include steps for evaluating whether our Product Suppliers comply with applicable laws related to eradication of human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor. Our Supply Chain and Quality Assurance teams oversee these verification procedures using an internally-developed multi-part assessment. In addition, Jazz has adopted written Standards of Conduct for Supply Chain and will request that our Product Suppliers certify that they comply with applicable laws concerning human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor in the countries in which they do business.
Audits: Jazz conducts periodic and regular announced audits of its Product Suppliers to evaluate their compliance with Jazz’s policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Jazz typically conducts such audits using its own personnel, although it reserves the right to engage an independent third party auditor. Jazz’s current Contract Manufacturer Assessment Guidelines establish procedures for audits of potential and existing Product Suppliers, including their training, experience and qualifications, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and evaluation of the suppliers’ compliance with quality systems. Jazz tracks any observations and/or non-compliance in its Audit Follow Up & Close-Out procedures to ensure that instances of non-compliance are properly remediated. Jazz is currently in the process of considering further elaboration of its Contract Manufacturer Assessment Guidelines to expressly address human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor in its auditing protocol.
Materials: Jazz is in the process of implementing procedures that will require Product Suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into Jazz’s products comply with the laws regarding human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor in applicable countries.
Accountability Standards: Jazz is in the process of establishing internal accountability standards and procedures, including disciplinary action for its employees and contractors with procurement responsibilities who fail to meet Jazz’s standards regarding identification and elimination of human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor in its supply chain.
Training: Jazz has developed and provides training for its employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, particularly with respect to mitigation risks of human trafficking, slavery and illegal child labor within the supply chain.
Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement – 2016: This Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement was approved by the respective boards of directors of Jazz Pharmaceuticals Ireland Limited and Jazz Pharmaceuticals UK Limited on 20 December 2016, and constitutes the slavery and human trafficking statement of these Jazz subsidiaries for the financial year ending 31 December 2016.
If you want to join an international organization that is both a financially and personally fulfilling place to work – one that combines the creativity, scale and energy of a dynamic team with the confidence, experience and resources of a well-established corporation, then Jazz Pharmaceuticals is the place to further your career.
We are searching for innovative, talented, patient focused individuals of the highest integrity. People who share our core values and embrace an entrepreneurial environment.
In light of our rapid growth, continuing to make Jazz a great place to work remains very important. Jazz employees are motivated by what we can do to make a difference in the lives of patients.
Everything we do at Jazz Pharmaceuticals is focused on three things:
Our patient focused and collaborative culture has allowed us to experience strong corporate growth, which continues to build upon a dedicated development team, a focused commercial team and a seasoned management team, all working together to the betterment of patients.
For many patients, there is no alternative. For us, no alternative is unacceptable.
The work we do is driven by one simple motivator: a genuine desire to improve lives. This is a universal truth across the entire organization, no matter the location, therapeutic focus, discipline or level of the individual.
Working at Jazz: Living Our Values
We value honesty and compliance with all of the laws, rules, regulations and corporate policies that apply to our business, and we expect the same total commitment from our employees, consultants, business partners and service providers. We view our uncompromising commitment to honesty and compliance as a core value — one that we look for in all of our employees.
Like the talented musicians who inspired our company name, we believe that the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. Jazz musicians are known for working together to create new and exciting riffs or new variations on familiar themes. Similarly, the hallmark of our collaborative spirit is our ability to work together in creative teams to accomplish not only research and development goals, but also commercial and corporate objectives. Our value of and respect for one another support our collaboration on projects to help patients, patient advocates and our community.
Our passion is our unwavering commitment to improving patient care. The intensity we devote to our efforts and our focus on the efficient development of products to address unmet patient needs are clear evidence of our passion.
Innovation is essential to help patients and health care providers address unmet medical needs. Striving to provide new benefits to address unmet patient needs requires us to look for novel solutions, particularly where others have been discouraged by the difficulty of the problem or the small size of the patient population.
Pursuit of excellence
In all that we do — our passion and collaboration, our integrity and our caring for patients — we demonstrate our pursuit of excellence. We will always strive to take it to the next level.
I have been working at Jazz Pharmaceuticals (Less than a year)
Great company, great people. Meaningful purpose.

I applied online. I interviewed at Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
I applied online and got an email saying they wanted to schedule a phone screen. on the day of the phone screen, I had an urgent situation come up at work. i wrote asking for a re-schedule and got no reply. i then followed up again only to get a curt reply saying that they won't be re-scheduling. I shudder to think about how harsh the company culture must be given this experience at the front door. how stressed must this HR person be to be so rude and judgemental. which reflects on the company culture.
