I have been working at Jefferson County Schools (Colorado) full-time (More than a year)
The kids are absolutely wonderful and if you are lucky enough to get a CR teacher that knows what they are doing, the experience is life changing.
If your CR teacher is bad at their job, you take on the extra burden. The job is physically and mentally exhausting. It is not uncommon to change diapers, feed the kids, run after them, and get beat up/hit/bit by them. The pay does not reflect how difficult the job really is.
Advice to Management
See what we actually do and pay us accordingly.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Jefferson County Schools (Colorado) (Lakewood, CO) in September 2013.
Hiring process is specific. It is short and concise mainly because you will have to be dedicated to taking this job, if your not you'll never make it through training.
