(April 7, 2016) – Jenny Craig announced today it has joined hands with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help people living with prediabetes reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes.

Our brand was built on the belief that successful weight loss and weight management can be achieved through a healthy relationship with food, an active lifestyle and a balanced approach to living. These fundamentals make up three cornerstones of the Jenny Craig Program: Food, Body and Mind.
Jenny Craig's program provides nutritionally-balanced menus, which include nearly 100 delicious entrées, desserts and snacks developed by Registered Dietitians, nutritionists, and food technologists along with one-on-one personal support from a consultant. These tools, along with our more than 600 brick and mortar centers, help our potential members take immediate and lasting advantage of what we call "The I'm ready to lose weight NOW" moment.
At Jenny Craig, we've made personal support the cornerstone of what we do for more than 30 years. Members receive unparalleled one-on-one support, in center, via video chat or over the phone including education on portion control from a dedicated consultant, how to implement strategies for behavior change to help drive weight loss and health improvement such as self-monitoring, planning for social events and incorporating more physical activity into their lives. Each consultant works with members to identify their strengths, challenges and personal goals in order to create unique weekly meal and activity plans that fit their needs. In fact, many of our consultants are former Jenny Craig members themselves. While "The Moment," as we describe it, is the initial motivating epiphany, our consultants are with our members to help create positive, highly motivational moments throughout the weight loss journey. This, we believe, is what helps our members lose up to three times more weight than dieting on their own.
The story begins with our co-founder, Mrs. Jenny Craig. After the birth of her first child, Mrs. Craig found herself overweight and lacking options to lose the weight. Through her own combination of diet and exercise, she shed the baby weight, but came upon the realization that there weren't enough options for people who wanted to lose weight that included a supportive human touch. In the early 1960s, Mrs. Craig began working at a local gym where she developed an interest in weight loss and nutrition. This interest eventually led to the opening of her own gym, and in 1983, her first Jenny Craig Weight Loss Center with the help of her late husband, Sid Craig. Mrs. Craig took what she learned through her own weight loss journey and years of working in the weight loss industry to create a comprehensive approach to weight loss.

Jenny Craig (home office / sales floor) is a company that believes in and invests in their employees. It is a top priority that employees are HAPPY and the work environment reflects that. Opportunities are endless and growth is encouraged. Coworkers are friendly and all levels of management are kind and warm. People work together and are always willing to help, but the vibe of the sales floor is truly "happy". Supervisors are placed in the center of the sales floor, so they are constantly accessible and willing to help. And! You have access to the gym, curves gym and Jenny Craig store!)
The sales ebb and flow so there are times of the year when days feel long and frustrating. The commission structure is designed to help paychecks stay consistent throughout the year Part of the job is making outbound calls to "warm leads" and to follow up with no-sales ... its my least favorite part of the job, but its not terrible and management's expectations are realistic. The call center is open 5am-8am, so you might get stuck with an open or closing shift and you WILL have to work on one weekend day (everyone does, even supervisors) and on some holidays. Cubicles are small, but can be decorated any way you want.
I applied online. I interviewed at Jenny Craig in January 2017.
It was a two step process. Initial interview with a Center Director and then a second interview with a Regional Director. Follow up phone call a few days later. Upon job acceptance you must go for a drug test.
