Jet Industries – Why Work For Us?

Jet Industries Inc. is recognized as a leader in both customer loyalty and satisfaction. Our clients know that we bring “Solutions for a Streamlined Project” to each assignment we are given. While providing quality full service design and construction services, we will reduce construction conflicts and inefficiencies while eliminating overlap in bids by coordinating all aspects of the project. We significantly reduce project waste, compress project schedules, and deliver a high quality product while maintaining a safe, stable work environment in which our employees can prosper.

Jet Industries Inc. is a leading design build electrical, mechanical, communications and fire sprinkler contractor. What began as a small, family-run oil company founded by Aaron Zeeb in 1977 has grown into one of the nation’s largest companies of its type with over 500 employees servicing projects all across the country.

Jet Industries Inc. believes in the constant growth and education of its employees and other industry stakeholders. At Jet University there are 3 pillars for education: Trade Specific Training; Jet Vision/Culture; and Personal Development and Leadership.

Over the course of a 2-year program, students will be educated on each of the 3 pillars. Students study topics such as proper trade specific procedures, computer skills, time management skills, effective communication skills, personal finance skills, and motivation technics. Students also receive advanced OSHA approved safety training and learn what Jet’s expectations and standards are.

As Jet University students complete pillars and gain invaluable knowledge, bonuses are awarded for milestones and other academic achievements.

Why Jet University?

Are you looking to further develop your personal and professional skills? Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Can you benefit from personal finance training, or accountability training, or conflict resolution technics? Do you want to learn more about your trade and someday progress to be a foreman or project manager? Then Jet University is for you!

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Jet Industries (Salem, OR) in October 2017.

    Interview

I met with our talent acquisition administrator and she was very helpful, with getting me in touch with the plumbing department. Once I interviewed with the plumbing general manager, I then met back up with our hiring admin and she walked me through the rest of the process. On my first day they walked me around and introduced me to everyone which helps when you are new. It was the best interview experience I've ever been through.
