I have been working at Job Corps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Staff has been very helpful. I believe they are sincere in wanting the best for the trainees. The instructors are providing all their experience and knowledge in their trades. The Staff that helps us get the jobs after our training has been wonderful and I know they will be here for me after I leave the program. There is not as much problems in behaviors as their is in high school.

    Cons

The students can sometimes be immature.

    Advice to Management

When the students are complete, let them phase out and not have them stay after they get a job or go to college.

    Interview

Cover letters help with initial submissions but the average interviewer is not prepare nor have pre-screened the applicant's information prior to the interview. Average interview has 2 staff to help take notes on your input/responses. Always good to ask questions in regard to what their ideal candidate is to reiterate you compatibility with the position and program. Stress the importance to mentor students.
