I worked at John Morrell full-time
For the most part, this is a nice place to work. It has a real corporate feel and there are many opportunities if you like to get involved. The building is nice and many of the people are nice.
The biggest con is that the office has open desks where you can see the person sitting next to you and hear everything he or she says. There is no privacy, which can be distracting and counter productive. Sometimes there are long hours. Compensation could be considered to be low.
Advice to Management
Find ways to keep talented people interested in the company so that turnover isn't so high. Allow for better work/life balance and occasionally working from home if need be.
I applied online. I interviewed at John Morrell.
Had a phone interview and then was brought in for an on-site interview. Was told during the interview that I basically had the job, but then was given the run around for over two months.
