I have been working at John Sanfilippo & Son full-time (More than 3 years)
Good pay, great hours, staff mostly good/easy to work with. Some opportunities to move up.
different departments frequently show favoritism. Supervisors frequently not proactive, Plenty of people who know how to play the system
Advice to Management
Become more proactive in cutting out the slackers, reward those actually trying to do well for the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Sanfilippo & Son (Elgin, IL) in October 2015.
If they know you, you will have a good chance of landing the job because you can learn the job quickly if you are there everyday. The jobs that I'm talking about that apply this process is the one i mention above.
For higher positions I've heard that it's the actual owners will be one conducting the interviews and it takes weeks for the interview with a lunch day with the low level supervisors.
