Johnson & Johnson – Why Work For Us?

New college graduate? Feeling uninspired in your current role? On the brink of a breakthrough but not sure where to take it?

People join J&J for lots of reasons and come from many different backgrounds and industries. What they have in common, though, is the excitement and dedication to turn their potential into impact. Across our global footprint—with a collective reach spanning more than a billion people around the world—each new idea is a crucial, disruptive step in changing the trajectory of human health.

J&J will challenge you, but we will also celebrate your major accomplishments as much as we do the little victories along the way. Here, your colleagues respect your career journey because they’re experiencing it alongside you, and they know that sometimes the obvious path isn’t always the best one. In the fight for human health, we’re in it to win it, so whether it’s a your first job or your fifteenth, advancing your career at J&J will have far-reaching impact.

Whatever your title, degree, training, or role, you bring a valuable and unique set of experiences, ideas, and worldview to help solve and prevent healthcare challenges more comprehensively than ever before. That’s why it’s so important to us that you—and your family—have the tools you need to live your healthiest and best life, however you define it.

We believe you should be in charge of your professional and personal growth. We help you get there by propelling you toward training, mentorship, and strong support networks that nurture your mind, body, and spirit. Industry-leading health and financial benefits like creative fitness programs, Energy for Performance courses, volunteer leave policy, expanded global parenting leave, and our goal to create the world’s healthiest workforce by 2020 are only a few of the ways we support your growth. J&J’s many accolades include being named one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies in 2017, making it to Working Mother magazine’s list of 100 Best Companies for over 30 years in a row including 2018, and placing No. 1 on the 2018 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.

Alongside the world’s healthiest workforce, you can enjoy your own growth process. Backed by J&J’s scope and ability to scale, together with experienced colleagues, and armed with profound resources, your work will change the trajectory of human health, one breakthrough at a time.

A new vaccine for HIV. AI programs that discover life-saving drugs. Digital health tools to track symptoms and treatments. Creative approaches that make delivering care easier: it’s all happening at Johnson & Johnson.

And it’s happening because of people like you. At J&J, everyone’s ideas contribute to the conversations that lead to breakthroughs that are changing human health. There is power in the collective, and that power is amplified in an environment like ours, where no one is smarter than everyone and ideas matter more than titles. Our Credo—the guiding principles that have shaped Johnson & Johnson as a leading voice in healthcare—reminds us that each and every perspective is an important part of the process. How we do things is just as important as what we do.

And that changes everything.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Johnson & Johnson (New York, NY).

    Interview

There was a phone screen by a recruiter followed by a phone call with the hiring manager. Afterwards, there were 2 onsite interview days spaced about 1 month apart. 2nd interview onsite required a presentation.
