I worked at Joliet District 86 full-time (More than a year)
If you want to actually make a difference, this is a great place to work. Flexible enough to include mentoring into the daily curriculum.
Needs a stronger and more rigorous curriculum. If you have experience in that area and run a very structured classroom, you'd excel here!
Advice to Management
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Joliet District 86 (Joliet, IL) in August 2016.
It was a very rigorous interview. You are required to come back and teach a lesson to students in front of administrators. The interview took place with four administrators. They gave very little feedback and the administrators did not seem to be on the same page. I got a bad vibe. They did not make me feel comfortable.
