I have been working at Juniper Square full-time (Less than a year)
First, the fundamentals: Juniper Square is solving a real problem in an industry that is historically plagued by opaque, asymmetric information. The software has enormous potential applications, and is expertly built and designed.
Next, working at Juniper Square: Every day I wake up and am thankful to get to work at Juniper Square. The company is full of incredibly smart, down-to-earth, hard-working people. It's so much FUN to work with these people. Employees and leadership are bought in to our values, and demonstrate them through our work on a daily basis. Leadership is incredibly transparent and makes sure that everyone knows where the company is headed and the challenges we need to overcome.
I am incredibly supported in my role by my peers and manager, and feel empowered to make change and improve process, workflow, and product wherever possible. There is huge opportunity for career growth within my group, and I also have the opportunity to explore joining another team.
There are really no downsides to working here.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing! Continue to solicit feedback from employees across all levels as the company grows. There are a ton of different skill sets that employees bring to the table. Don't forget to try to research and use these to help the company grow.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Juniper Square (San Francisco, CA) in March 2020.
The interview process was clear, friendly and technical without being emphasized on rote memorization of algorithm knowledge. Juniper Square clearly puts a heavy emphasis on understanding their product, business goals, mission, and database modeling. Spending time researching will pay off in your interviews.
Every team member was highly focused on Juniper Square's mission and positive to interview with, even if the interview wasn't going as smoothly as a candidate might hope.
The only downside was that I often had to follow-up to receive the next step in the process. While the recruiter was extremely nice, I fell out of the pipeline more than once.
Overall, you can tell they care about their people and take team culture very seriously. I would definitely recommend interviewing here.
