    Pros

Great possibilities through the university - KHYS ist a great institution for PhD students and very unique. The possibilities for research are great. Possibilites to go abroad as well!

    Cons

Despite its internationality it has a very German culture - many international students are conforonted with the fact that they need to acquire German skills it integrate. For an excellent university this should not be expected at the PhD level.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at KIT (Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg (Germany)) in February 2016.

    Interview

it was not too hard but I did a good job. If you apply for a phd you better prepare yourself good. Compared to applications directed to industry it's rather simple and easy-going.
