Kagan Publishing & Professional Development Interviews
Account Manager Interview
Anonymous Employee in San Clemente, CANo OfferNegative ExperienceDifficult InterviewApplicationI applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Kagan Publishing & Professional Development (San Clemente, CA)
Interview
Casual phone interview with HR Manager to start which was great.... then in person interview with HE and also the CFO who was highly impersonal and autistic in his mannerisms.
I warmed them up and the interview itself was fine but WAYYYY too long two hours of hammering questions often times repeating the same ones in different ways. The questions were outrageous considering the pay and level of the position.
I was told the following week they were conducting more interviews but I would hear back either way within two weeks guaranteed..... well it is four weeks later and I have heard nothing despite follow up emails I have sent and a voicemail. Considering how thorough and professional you need to be to even pass the phone screening I am surprised in the lack of professionalism on their part and the lack of follow through. No matter what the outcome is if they promised to follow through and get back to you either way then they need to keep their promise. Never burn bridges.... you may be coming to me for a job one day.InterviewGive an example of when your sales strategy did not work and what did you do to fix it? Specifically did you recover an account that you did not initially win and how did you do that? Please tell us what strategy you would bring to Kagan?
