    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at Kansas City Power & Light Company (Lawrence, KS) in October 2017.

    Interview

I had a brief interview on-campus with a representative from KCP&L. The interview was very informal and mostly just about my experiences. There were very little behavioral questions.

I received three emails a few days following my interview, all around 2:30 am. The first two were identical but one was from a recruiter and the second was from a general email. Both explained that they were moving forward with the hiring process and I was not selected. The second email came exactly one minute later and simply recalled the previous message.

Confused as to my status, I emailed asking for clarification. I never received a reply and I have heard nothing further from the company.

I understand if I was not a good fit, but the absence of professionalism and the absurd lack of communication through the process has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that all future candidates are treated with more respect.
