Founded in 1985, Kearney is the premier CPA firm focused exclusively on the Federal Government, providing services across the financial management spectrum. Kearney has helped the Federal Government improve its financial operations’ overall effectiveness and efficiency; increase its level of accountability and compliance with laws, regulations, and guidance; and protect its funds from fraud, waste, and abuse. We understand the Federal Government’s need for efficiency and transparency.
The Kearney culture is aptly described by the motto, “Work Hard, Play Hard.” CEO Ed Kearney is often the first to remind employees that they must balance their work and personal lives. We realize your happiness and health are critical to your success every day.
Kearney offers opportunities for employees to enjoy sport and entertainment events, and we encourage our employees to participate in our many team-building activities, including recreational sports teams and social events. We believe that building personal, lasting relationships is an important part of the workplace environment.
Kearney recognizes that open and effective communication is critical. That is why our culture invites interaction between employees at all levels. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to work face-to-face with clients on a regular basis. Because we realize the importance of ongoing, available, and responsive communication, we instituted an open-door communication policy when the company was founded. It is Kearney’s policy to encourage employees to develop communicative relationships that lead to professional and personal development and happiness.
Kearney serves one industry: the Federal Government. However, we offer a wide array of services and industry specializations, as well as a culture that has become the envy of other firms.
Our experienced hires have the freedom to leverage their industry-specific experience to find innovative solutions for our clients. Our employees work closely with some of the best minds in the business, both within Kearney and on the client front. Our employees expand their knowledgebase and skill set considerably as they tackle high-level, strategic business challenges that span a wide range of audit, accounting, and IT projects.
Because Kearney is a leading Federal consulting company, you can rest assured that a career with us will be particularly rewarding, offering excellent opportunities for both professional development and personal growth, and instilling a tremendous sense of ongoing satisfaction from the results-oriented nature of the work we do.
One of the most rewarding ways to jump start your career is to participate in a comprehensive internship program. Kearney & Company offers a competitive internship program that gives students a chance to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
We believe that employees should give 100% to their work—but work shouldn’t be 100% of their lives. Kearney provides opportunities for team members to interact with one another in entertaining, non-work situations.
Our extensive benefits package makes it easy for employees to pursue advanced training and rewards employees for advancing professionally. Kearney works hard to retain its talented and dedicated employees. We know it takes more than a competitive salary to fulfill employees’ needs. We also know that job satisfaction is about more than just the salary, which is why we proudly offer all employees a “total rewards plan” of financial, physical, educational, and motivational benefits.
I worked at Kearney & Company full-time (More than a year)
The company is consistently among the top 50 Places to Work and it deserves it!
Amazing training opportunities focus on attaining annual CPE/PDUs. Supportive management. Picnic at FedEx field, Annual Meeting & Christmas Party at The Ritz. The list is long... the corporate offices are amazing!
Accounting/Auditing individuals are the main focus; well, it is a CPA firm. Other areas lack the same job security.
Advice to Management
Keep up making KCO employees feel like a part of something bigger. And, the parties aren't a bad idea either!
I applied online. I interviewed at Kearney & Company (Washington, DC) in April 2017.
I met with 3 different hiring managers after the recruiter. Each asked me questions about my resume and then discussed their area of work. Pretty easy interview, I was qualified with prior work experience.
