Marketing is all about evolution, and at Kennedy Communications, we see ourselves as master of adaptability, flexibility, creativity, accountability and results. When Bill Kennedy struck out on his own in 1983, the advertising landscape had barely shifted. In the three decades ... Read more

Mission: Our philosophy is a simple one: we are channel masters. (This is not to be confused with channel surfers, although we would never turn down an Indiana Jones marathon.) We build our message with the distribution in mind. Need a TV commercial? Got it. That translates socially ... Read more

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Kennedy Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

KennedyC provides its employees with an incredibly positive and fun work environment. The agency is extremely dedicated to its clients (client relationships last an average of over 14 years), as well as its employees. In my experience, everyone is supportive of their coworkers, and the company encourages personal growth whenever possible. Many opportunities for professional development are given, and the agency does a great job of providing work/life balance, as well as fun agency-building trips and activities for its staff. The workload is challenging at times, but it is also very exciting. Here at KennedyC, you are pushed to expand your skill set and learn on-the-go, which is always amazing experience to have.

    Cons

No major cons at this time. The work can get busy and stressful, but there is always a coworker (or five) for you to lean.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Kennedy Communications (Madison, WI) in October 2016.

    Interview

Had one in-person panel interview and was not offered a second. However, it did become clear that most if not all of the applicants are interviewed in the second round by Bill Kennedy, the guy who founded and owns this agency. He now even owns the building in which the agency is located, so he truly does hold all the cards. I assume that if he likes you, you get to work there; if he doesn't, you don't. Too much power all in the hands of one person for my liking, but that's just me.
