KentuckyOne Health, the largest and most comprehensive health system in the Commonwealth, has more than 200 locations including hospitals, physician groups, clinics, primary care centers, specialty institutes and home health agencies in Kentucky and southern Indiana. KentuckyOne Health is dedicated to bringing wellness, healing and hope to all, including the underserved. The system is made up of the former Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare and Saint Joseph Health System, along with the University of Louisville Hospital and James Graham Brown Cancer Center. KentuckyOne Health is proud of and strengthened by its Catholic, Jewish and academic heritages.
There has never been an organization quite like ours, so how do we come up with a mission statement that works for KentuckyOne Health? It took hours of conversation and thought on the part of leaders and employees across the system. The result was recently adopted by the KentuckyOne board of directors. We call it the KentuckyOne Purpose & Values, a guide for our work that is uniquely our own.
We are a comprehensive health system strengthened by our Catholic, Jewish and academic heritages and inspired by our shared values.
To bring wellness, healing and hope to all, including the underserved.
To transform the health care communities, care delivery and health care professions so that individuals and families can enjoy the best of health and wellbeing.
Respecting those we serve and those who serve
Doing the right things in the right way for the right reason
Sharing in others’ joys and sorrows
Living up to the highest standards

I have been working at KentuckyOne Health full-time (Less than a year)
KentuckyOne Health's (Jewish Hospital) guiding principles focus on safety, culture, integrity and transparency. KentuckyOne also promotes team concept, diversity and inclusion. I wanted to work here because the care, passion, values and commitment to excellence is "real", not only for the patients but for the employees as well.
Downtown traffic and construction can cause delays getting to/from the hospital.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KentuckyOne Health (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in March 2018.
Applied online through CHI. Heard from an HR Rep about two weeks later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was primarily questions about me, typical house keeping questions about my background, salary expectation, and work experience. I received a call from the actual admin office a week later for an in person interview. That interview was almost all behavioral/personality questions. I didn't end up being offered the job, but I was a finalist, I still had a positive experience with them and it seems like a nice place to work.
