I have been working at Kiewit Infrastructure West full-time (More than 3 years)
There is good communication between office staff (engineers, PM's, etc.) and operational staff (operators, laborers, etc.,). Unlike many firms where engineers dictate the tasks of operational execution, the people who are in the field are able to propose ideas for success they see in the everyday tasks and be heard and often put the improved procedures to use.
A common complaint is the amount of work on both the professional side as well as the trade side that Kiewit employees work too many hours. While its certainly not a 9-5 job, the environment is good and pay is sufficient if you don't mind a longer work week. Can definitely be a con for someone whose main focus is a "work-life balance."
I applied online. I interviewed at Kiewit Infrastructure West (Los Angeles, CA) in January 2015.
Perfect without any problem it use to be personall no to the internet like now, so it was more confidente because you look a the person at the eyes know in days we talk and write to a machine wich i considere thatb in not a good process maybe if you do both it will be better.
