  • Our name may be different but the legacy lives on. See how our roots are embedded within our next chapter as Kin + Carta — a global ecosystem on a mission to make the world work better. https://www.builtinchicago.org/spotlight/2020/03/10/kin-carta-consulting-chicago-careers?utm_source=member_outreach

This Company Said Goodbye to Its Brand Name to Make Room For Opportunity

Last year, a U.K.-based appliance company came to Kin + Carta at just the right time. The U.K. company, on a quest for consulting on advertising spend strategy, organizational restructuring and end-to-end product development, would have been referred to other businesses had it approached Kin + Carta any sooner.

Kin + Carta Americas – Why Work With Us?

Our people always come first. That’s why we’ve created a culture that’s deeply connected, always courageous, and instinctively compassionate.

What makes us different comes down to a simple belief: highly specialized talent can be connected without being diluted. We’re organized around three services: a tech-centric management consultancy (Advise), a next-gen software engineering studio (Create), and a digital marketing agency (Connect).

Headquartered out of Chicago and London, we’re a global ecosystem of 1,600 technologists, strategists, and creatives across four continents. We’re big enough to deliver against the biggest challenges yet small enough to care personally.

Our Advise pillar combines technology, data intelligence and deep industry expertise to create strategic plans that thrive far beyond the boardroom. No consultant echo chambers. No fumbled handoffs or misinterpreting strategic intent. We deliver one diverse team, focused on a precise path to execution, designed to create tangible value faster.

We believe growth is built, not theorized. Kin + Carta Create’s pillar is full of makers, builders and creators by nature. They come to work every day to build experiences end-users will love and technologies that business will thrive on.

The approach is simple: Accelerate idea-to-value by striking the ideal balance of human-centered design, Agile engineering, and the realities of affecting change at scale. Including new product development, service design and cloud modernization.

Lifelong customers are built one experience at a time. That’s why Kin + Carta Connect starts with customer data to craft and build connected brand experiences across world-leading digital platforms. Our engagement model evolves from build to support and optimisation to ensure long-term value for both customers and business.

It's important to us that every member of our Kin is able to show up as their full self everyday. Our values, connections, and awesome company benefits help to make that happen.

At Kin + Carta we offer a mentorship program, diversity, philanthropy, and wellness committees, an internal training program, consistent feedback cycles, and internal promotion opportunities.

Demonstrating is better than debating and that's what we're here to do. We're here to make it happen, together.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Kin + Carta Americas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. Culture, the culture is really positive and geared towards working as a team to continually make our clients better in creating some pretty amazing products
    2. Innovation, this company is constantly working to push the envelope and find the cool new stuff.
    3. Military friendly, this company is currently working on building their veterans group. They see the value in the skills and characteristics that veterans can bring over from their military career.
    4. Flat, the organization is flat which empowers all people in the organization. I've talked to the CEO on multiple occasions.
    5. Transparency, there is a huge effort to make sure everyone is comfortable with every change that's coming down the pipeline. The overall communication is really good in my option.

    Cons

    1. FLUX, this company is constantly in motion and working to become better. If you want an organization where things will be predictable for years to come, than this is not the place for you
