Nice customers, great location, good coworkers, it is located close to the harbor and prominent businesses so business is generally good all year
Waiting on mean people, serving food is hard, tip out is average but there is a lot to tip out as there is a lot of help
Advice to Management
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at King's Seafood (San Diego, CA) in December 2014.
First was a one on one with simple guest service questions- how long have you beeen a server, tell me about your tasks at your previous job.
Second was a group interview with approximately 8 people applying for different FOH positions.
Third was a one on one with the GM. Questions ranged from wine pairing to teamwork to guest interactions.
I really appreciate how quickly they got back to you between interviews. After leaving the second interview they said that we would be contacted within 24 hours about a third interview. I heard back within 2 hours.
