The place has been for sale for several years which has made the future uncertain. Currently the best reason to work here is the efforts being made (finally) to upgrade and improve the quality of services and facilities toward making this a destination venue. I am more familiar with the food service side of the resort. With the improved menus and wine list, KHRS is a more interesting dining experience.
The food service equipment needs replacing/maintenance. More of the staff need to recognize this as a professional operation, not a j.o.b. and develop some pride in their surroundings. Management is not good at communicating direction and goals--from the top down.
Advice to Management
Are your managers in their position because of their interpersonal relationships or because of their skills and abilities? What have you shared with the employees about your goals and hope for the future? Do you want team members or paycheck recipients?
