This Company is Our Family!
It's hard to find a company where people can build a career these days. Kurt is different - we're known for our employee longevity! We are proud to showcase two employees who have reached the 45-year milestone at Kurt.
When Mike Pouliot (left) and Steve Clovning (bottom right) started their careers, they came to Kurt looking for new opportunities. Since joining Kurt they have worked in three of our divisions including Kurt’s Machining, Die Cast and Industrial Products Divisions. Both have filled a variety of roles, including Tool Room & Cutter Grinder, Supervisor and Machine Operator. A lot has changed at Kurt over those 45 years! Both Mike and Steve grew with the company, developing new skills to serve Kurt’s customers in our dynamic and ever changing business. Mike’s fond memories of Kurt include fun with co-workers, playing cards and joking around. He points out that he raised his family while working at Kurt. Steve reinforced this saying, “At some point you realize that your life has all these connections to the company. When I was married, I was working at Kurt. When I bought my house, I was working at Kurt. Everything ties back to being an employee at Kurt”. Steve said that he appreciates Kurt’s straightforward nature and open door philosophy. Some of Steve’s favorite memories involve Kurt’s founder Kurt Kuban and his son Bill.
When Mike and Steve were asked why someone should consider working at Kurt, both agreed it was the people. As Mike said, “This company is our family!” We couldn’t agree more. Our compliments to Mike and Steve for their many years of dedicated service to Kurt Manufacturing. Congratulations!

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kurt Manufacturing (Fridley, MN) in September 2013.
It was a low pressure one on one interview with management. I was referred by an employee, so the interview was more of a face to face meeting between myself and management.
