I have been working at Kwittken full-time (More than a year)
My time thus far at Kwittken has been marked by some of the best moments in my career. It's been an absolute joy to get up in the morning and come to a place brimming with smart, creative colleagues who are passionate not only about our work but about taking care of one another. There's a family vibe not often found in many places -- let alone PR agencies -- and while like most families we have our moments of disagreement, those moments have always led us to a stronger, more creative place.
A big reason for who we are lies with our leadership. Never have I felt more trusted and empowered to build a business and contribute to a dynamic culture -- and this goes for everyone at Kwittken. Aaron Kwittken has provided steady, transparent and focused leadership, while our co-founder Jason -- despite having recently left to pursue a new opportunity -- cultivated a creative approach to communications that all of us will (try our best to) emulate for years to come. Gabrielle Zucker is as great a mentor as she is a manager and client whisperer, and the only "con" is that she can't hang out with us full-time in NYC as much as we'd like. And Shanee Goss has brought a fresh and optimistic creative zest to our agency, constantly pushing everyone to be the best versions of themselves. She's also done an incredible job of rallying our directors to new levels of leadership, collaboration and entrepreneurialism -- exactly what our growing agency needs.
Like any place, change can be hard, and we've had plenty of it recently. Simply, there are always those that are able to handle it better than others, and while we've had our share of miscommunication that often go along with "growing pains," we've surely become better for it.
Advice to Management
Continue to have an open dialogue with and trust your staff to provide candid, honest and actionable feedback, and don't ever stray from empowering everyone across the agency -- regardless of position -- to be great communicators and greater leaders.
