  • Internship and recruiting programs with over 24 educational institutions across the nation.

  • “Recruiting Tomorrow’s Engineers Today” pilot program with the Colorado School of Mines
  • $5,000 annual scholarships for college juniors, seniors, and graduate students enrolled in ABET-certified STEM curricula programs
  • Reimbursements to cover employees’ expenses when volunteering to support STEM education programs in their local communities (e.g., robotics and science clubs, fraternity mentorship programs, etc.)

Community Involvement: From school supply drives to a variety of human services activities, LGS employees work with local and national organizations to better the lives of those in our communities. Various drives and fundraisers hosted by LGS Innovations contribute to local needs and services such as food assistance, utility assistance, shelter assistance, transportation to job interviews, and financial counseling.

Student-centered programs

LGS supports a variety of student learning programs at the K-12, college, and graduate school levels. Internships

LGS Innovations offers paid high school and college internships at our offices across the country in a variety of advanced and exciting areas such as wired and wireless communications, networking, optical systems, electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering, and all manner of signal processing applications and systems/software development.

LGS summer internships are open to high school students who are rising seniors and U.S.-based college students or recent graduates whose areas of study include the above areas, as well as physics, mathematics, or similar STEM disciplines.

In our internship program, you’ll do challenging work in a supportive environment that prepares you for a successful career. 

As an LGS Intern, you’ll enjoy:

  • Well-paid internships on world-leading R&D and product development teams
  • Leadership opportunities in individual or team-based projects
  • Clear objectives and prospects for future opportunities within and across the business
  • Formal end-of-assignment presentation of your innovations, ideas and experiences to an audience of team leaders and executives
  • Eligibility for $2,500 ‘Star Scholar’ award for college-level interns
  • Summer interns may also have opportunities to attend lunch-and-learn sessions and social activities.

LGS Co-op

The LGS Cooperative Education Program (Co-op) is an academically-based program where college students work in a paid, full-time position in areas related to their academic major and career goals. Co-op students alternate a semester of study with a semester of work over the course of their sophomore and junior years.

LGS Academic Fellows

The LGS Academic Fellows program provides a transition path for highly technical, driven college students with a 3.0 GPA (or above) to become full-time LGS employees following the completion of their Master’s program.  As Academic Fellows, students are instructed, mentored, and lead by technical LGS employees on a specified project over a 12-month period. Academic Fellows work a full-time paid summer internship, either before or during semesters of academic study, then continue as part-time interns for 10 hours a week as they complete their degrees.

College Graduates

New graduate? LGS Innovations can provide you with opportunities to put your technical smarts and creativity to work on major-league programs with national visibility. As a new college graduate, you’ll enjoy a variety of opportunities to innovate and solve real-world, complex technical and business problems—all while being mentored and inspired by LGS colleagues.

    Pros

    Management cares for their employees and fights for inexpensive health benefits, work-home balance and flex time when possible. This company utilizes ALL my skills and listens to my ideas. The work interesting and challenging, unlike large gov't contractors that provide "cookie cutter" jobs, utilizing a few repetitive skills and tasks.

    Phone screen by HR, then a phone screen by a software engineer. After that they bring you in for 3 hours of interviews each lasting 30 to 40 minutes of in depth technical questions.
