    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LONG Building Technologies in August 2014.

    Interview

It was as quick as it could have been, questions were typical and then gave way to more of a personality/culture check. I was surprised to hear about the longevity of most employees. In this day and age it's pretty crazy to see multiple people hitting their 20 and 30 year marks with any company, so that was really encouraging and suggested that people really like to work there, which meant that supporting them wouldn't be bad because they didn't hate their jobs. We talked as much about what I needed and wanted out of my employer as we did about what I could do for them. That's what sealed it for me.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Pretty brief, I was filling a spot that had been recently vacated. I did get them to come up 2k from their initial offer, but it was pretty obvious that going beyond that wasn't in their budget.
