Fun, creative atmosphere. Lots of gorgeous people to photograph. Imagination is a PLUS at LSD. I get to keep my own hours. Clients are awesome. It's just a little luv fest most of the time.
No benefits. No 401K or retirement accounts that big companies have. A little lonely at times. No other creatives to pow-wow with on things. Can't take all potential clients b/c there's not enough time in a day for one little person to do it all and do it well.
Advice to Management
Stay focused girl! Keep putting client satisfaction and experience at the top. It's what makes your company great.

I'm writing this from a surreal viewpoint. I interview myself every month just to make sure I still want to do this. I do. I absolutely love what I do. I have gone from $500/wedding to over $10K/wedding in less than 7yrs. I am no longer taking local weddings, only destinations. 90% referrals from brides and other portrait clients keep me pretty busy. I do not overbook as I never want to compromise the client experience. Service is in the foremost part of my business b/c I know my work delivers. I just want it to be on a silver platter.
I negotiate daily. It's what we all do.
