Lake Trust Credit Union is a forward-thinking and growing credit union built upon more than 100 years of commitment to members, community, and service. A $1.5 billion financial institution serving over 163,000 members, we stretch from Lake Michigan to Lake Erie and Lake Huron.
As a community-based credit union, the strength of our organization is enhanced by the strength of the communities we serve. And we believe in supporting organizations and activities devoted to improving our members' communities and their quality of life.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we are owned by our members – the people that save and borrow through us. When you become a Lake Trust member, you become an owner in an organization that is democratically governed and supervised by a board of directors. They are unpaid volunteers who represent the interests of their fellow members.
Your Credit Union will work for you. We take a truly personalized approach to serving you. It can be something as simple as a warm smile and sincere greeting when you visit one of our 21 branches. Or a Lake Trust representative that takes extra time to explain a program, answer a question, or solve a problem.
At Lake Trust, we believe in getting to know you before making a recommendation. We'll direct you toward the program and accounts that are right for you, and make sure you receive the best terms and rates. We'll provide the solutions and advice that will help build greater financial security today and for years to come.
If you live, work, attend school, or worship within any of our 35 counties in Michigan, we invite you to join us. You'll find the very best financial products, services, resources, and people all dedicated to serving your family or business needs. We take our responsibility to our members very seriously. You have our commitment to be your advocate, providing you the financial resources you need to better manage your money and make informed financial choices.
A Great Place To Be
Those of us who work here get a lot of satisfaction from being able to help our members, whether they're making an everyday transaction, or a once-in-a-blue-moon purchase. It's the reason we work for this credit union, rather than for any other financial institution.
Depending on employment status, employees may participate in our benefits plan. We offer a cafeteria benefits plan. The choices include:
Lake Trust helps its employees prepare for retirement through our 401(k) program. Benefits for time off include paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. We encourage lifelong education by encouraging attendance in work-related seminars and paying education expenses for work-related college courses. Also, a free counseling service is available to all employees.
We regularly survey the market to ensure the wages we pay to employees are among the best available.
We look for people who love to serve others and take great personal pride in their work. The Lake Trust team is made up of people who are genuinely interested in the good of our members. Lake Trust Credit Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
I worked at Lake Trust Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)
Great benefits. Time off is SO generous, it was unbelievable at first.
I can't really think of anything. The only reason I left is because I was offered another job with a pay increase, however I regret my decision. Money isn't always everything. If I could go back I would today.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lake Trust Credit Union.
They contacted me for a phone interview, then I came in for teller testing and personality test. I then was sent to a branch for a face to face interview. I received a call later stating I was being offered the position.
