We are celebrating our 27 “potato experts in training” who spent the summer interning across our organization. From working with cross-functional teams to collaborating on critical projects, our interns immersed themselves in our business and learned how we provide people around the world their favorite food – FRIES! This great program wouldn’t be possible without the partnership and support from our mentors who provided opportunities to learn about our business, the various functions within it, and how they all fit together.

We recently announced the expansion of our processing facility in American Falls, ID that includes a new french fry line that will produce more than 350 million pounds of frozen potato products per year and add 130 new jobs to the community. “This investment complements our recently-announced plans to construct a greenfield fry processing facility in China, as well as capacity expansion in Russia by our European joint venture Lamb Weston Meijer," said Tom Werner, Lamb Weston President and CEO. “Together, these investments will strengthen our global manufacturing network and provide added flexibility to meet demand growth and serve our customers around the world.”
