I worked at Lambent Technologies Corp full-time (More than 5 years)
Small groups, not too many formalities or resistance to change, so long as you get the right managers to support you.
If you're not in the good graces of the "real" decision makers, your work days will be "challenging".
Advice to Management
Historically, the sight has been a "Marketing" driven business, a small player in a very large surfactant industry. The site needs better alignment between Marketing and Manufacturing. Culture was Manufacturing followed Marketing. This creates a very chaotic manufacturing environment that leads to many of the smaller problems that managers and supervisors must "manage" on a day to day basis. My solution is train marketing folks to work in the plant, and develop an appreciation for how product flows through the site and how orders get filled, developing better mutual respect between the two large groups on the Gurnee sight would lead to a better team dynamic on the whole site.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Lambent Technologies Corp.
It was a full day interview with production manager, maintenance manager, plant manager, etc. Lunch was provided, as was flight and rental car. The interview also required a session with a psychiatrist who gave a wonderlic type test which took ~30 minutes.
