I have been working at Lancaster General full-time
Good nurse autonomy, most providers are pleasant to work with, generally have needed supplies, good tuition reimbursement if you want to go to PA college of health sciences
Pay is too low, supplies have been hard to get at times. Tuition reimbursement only good at PA college of health sciences if the college has the course of study you want so you are essentially forced to go there to use the benefit
Advice to Management
Increase pay for retention. Ensure units are adequately stocked- it's frustrating and a time suck searching for needed supplies. Replace outdated and broken equipment- beds, phones, vitals machines, etc. Improve staffing for nurses and ptcas
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Lancaster General (Lancaster, PA).
First a phone interview with a recruiting agent. Lasted about thirty to forty five minutes. Set up second interview to meet the staff at the office. Very kind. Took about thirty minutes for interview followed by tour of office. Took a week to hear back about job offer.
