Good people, plenty of autonomy, good benefits, hospital has strong ties to local community, many staff are genuinely interested in doing a good job and helping patients
Lower than average compensation, minimal to absent focus on staff development and education, outdated facilities and equipment, massive staff resistance to change leading to the perpetuation of old/inefficient ways of getting things done, revolving door leadership due to frustration with above issues
Advice to Management
While there is no substitute for experience, many of the veteran employees within the organization are resisting much needed change and creating toxic environments that drive away fresh, new talent with innovative ideas that have the potential to turn things around
