I have been working at Landry's full-time
Pay and quality of life
Corporate Red tape and unrealistic numbers. Based solely on YoY not realistic budgets
Junk benefit that are really expensive
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Landry's (Houston, TX).
I was contacted by one of the senior buyers who happened to have my resume on hand. We chatted briefly about my skills and interests, and she told me about an open position at the company that I might be a good fit for if I was interested. Shortly after I was contacted by the HR manager to schedule an in-person interview with them and the two senior buyers for the company (one of which would have been my direct boss). I spoke with the HR manager and then the two senior buyers, and about a day or so later I had my final interview with the head of the dept over the phone.
