Larson Gross, PLLC – Why Work With Us?

We know what you may think about accountants — buttoned up, perfectly tied bow tie, stuffy, maybe a desk full of perfectly sharpened pencils. But a bow tie doesn’t make an accountant any smarter. In fact, it might be cutting off blood to the brain (we think there have been studies).

Putting people first, getting to know our clients and developing genuine relationships are our top priorities. We might be offering business tax advice, but we really want to know what keeps our clients up at night. A personal financial plan becomes about leaving a legacy or checking items off a bucket list.

We don’t learn these things by sitting at our desks all day running numbers. We roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty at our clients’ farms. We moderate discussions among three generations of a family business struggling with transition planning. And we help them figure out how to pay for their daughter’s dream wedding.

That’s why we love what we do. We work with neighbors and friends who are just as committed to the long-term health and vitality of our community as we are. It’s incredibly rewarding to stand beside our clients as they achieve their dreams. To us, their success is our success.

There’s Todd, the former collegiate basketball player. Adrienne, the ivory key tickler. Justin, the bear hunter. And several dozen more people who come together to form Larson Gross.

It’s our unique experiences and diverse skill sets that enable us to be the successful team we are today. We’re individuals who are dedicated to working collaboratively in order to provide the highest level of technical assistance and professional advice to our growing group of clients.

There’s a difference between a career you love and a job you drag yourself out of bed for just to pay the bills. You can make a living doing both, but why would you? Here are a few reasons why we look forward to getting out of bed each morning:

The Work We Do Matters

As a part of our team, you’ll stand beside your clients and know you’re making a positive impact on their lives, their businesses and their legacies.

You’re The Captain Here
Are you ready to take the wheel? With initiative and drive, we offer plenty of ways for you to advance your career in the direction you desire.

We Can Do The Splits

Our Doors Are Always Open
Have a question for a Partner? No problem. Unlike many larger firms, we collaborate in close-knit teams and make sure we’re available for each other.

We Work Hard, And Play Hard
Between donut Fridays, chili cook-offs, costume contests and offsite team building events, there’s always something fun planned on our calendar.

We’re Not Going Anywhere But Up
Being part of an established, successful firm with promising professional opportunity is essential for a happy, productive life. We’ve been locally owned and growing for more than 68 years, and we plan to be here for many more.

The experience of our team members is one of our highest priorities. That’s why we’ve paid special attention to the benefits package we offer. The following list is not comprehensive, but it details a few of the perks of choosing Larson Gross.

Living in the Pacific Northwest
Nestled 90 miles north of Seattle, Wash. and 50 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia, we live and work in some of the last major cities before the Washington coastline meets the Canadian border. While Bellingham, the location of our corporate headquarters, has the tongue-in-cheek reputation as the “City of Subdued Excitement,” we know this area of the country is a great place to build your life.

Play Time Is All Year Round
Snow bunny? Mt. Baker is our town’s backdrop. Self-proclaimed hikeologist? We’ve got 65 miles of weaving trails. Waterholic? Bellingham Bay is our backyard. When it comes to outdoor activities, we don’t fail to impress. We even have camel rides.

We Get Fresh
Food, that is! Whether it’s fresh fruits and veggies from one of our many local farms or tasty gluten-free treats from a local bakery, we have access to the very best bites. Eat at home or at one of our many pubs, cafes or restaurants.

Not Everything Is Outdoors
Not the outdoorsy type? No worries. There are tons of other fun things to do. Comedy clubs. Museums. Live music. Theatre. Bookstores. We’ve got something for every interest.

We’re A Big Small Town and A Small Big Town
It doesn’t make sense, and we’ve stopped trying to figure it out. But with a dash of friendly intimacy and a pinch of urban forward thinking, Bellingham has perfected the recipe of small-town, big-city.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Larson Gross, PLLC (Bellingham, WA) in October 2018.

The first interview was on campus. It was very straight forward and had all the basic entry level interview questions. The second interview was held at the firm. They showed me around the office and we also had more one on one interviews.
