Mission: To make meaningful connections one restaurant and one neighborhood at a time.
I have been working at Le Pain Quotidien part-time (More than 3 years)
Very laid back environment. I have met so many people here that I can now call my true friends. The staff becomes more like family after a while. I also love that there are so many fresh, local and organic options on the menu.
The managers are working with a very tight budget. Oftentimes we are short staffed due to managers sending people home early which makes it nearly impossible to give all the guest good service. The discount for staff meals should be 100% for certain items. (in my opinion)
Advice to Management
Understand that in order for the restaurant to run smoothly we need to have enough staff on the floor. Also there should be a cleaning crew. I don't think guests like to see their server serve them a waffle and a minute later see that same server scrubbing the floor.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Le Pain Quotidien (New York, NY) in February 2017.
Introduce some basic information about the company, no behavioral question. And I asked some questions through the conversation, very nice and easying going. It takes about 10 minutes to finish this interview
