I have been working at Leggette, Brashears & Graham, Inc. full-time
Jumped right into things when I started. Like most jobs it has its highs and its lows, but I have had a very good balance of field work and office work. All project managers I have worked with have been very knowledgeable about the projects and what we are trying to achieve, and are willing to work with you on timing for field work and readily available to answer any questions you may have.
The field work can stack up very quickly and you can spend a lot of time away from home. Project managers are helpful with working with you on scheduling and potentially finding other people to cover for you if you get burnt out. We are technically on call for clients at all times in the event of emergency response, so dropping things immediately and having to go somewhere can throw a wrench in things on occasion.
When it gets slow, it gets slow.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing and bringing in work.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Leggette, Brashears & Graham, Inc. (Saint Paul, MN) in March 2013.
Approached by friend who was an employee. I had a couple of calls with management and one face to face interview. It was low key, friendly and professional. More old school than most other companies.
