Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Interview

This was a very bad experience, and highly unprofessional.

I applied and was scheduled for an initial interview of 20 minutes. I received an email invitation for it from a no-reply email. The email asked if I would reply to confirm the meeting. I tried several times, but unsurprisingly all my replies did not deliver. There were no other contact details in the email at all, so I had no way of contacting the sender.

After searching for a contact, I found an email under the original job posting. I emailed that person and explained I was trying to reach their colleague, to confirm the appointment.

I got an email back which thanked me for confirming, and they were not sure what mistake was made, but wished me luck with the interview.

Over the next few days, I received 3 more emails inviting me for an interview, all from the same no-reply address, and all for the same date and time.

On the day of the interview, I went into the Google Meet videocall well on time, but nobody showed up for about 15 minutes, so I left.

I have not heard anything since.

I spent time applying to this position, and preparing for the call. I also made extra attempts to confirm the appointment, and finally, I spent 15 minutes waiting in the meeting room.

I guess I must conclude they really don't want to hire anyone.
    Interview

I did not get asked any questions as we never made it to the initial interview in the first place.
