I worked at Leonardo DRS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Professional, great people. I had to leave a job due to family emergency and they got me a plane ticket and rental within seconds and coordinated everything for me while I was leaving a task we had in Florida. most employers would be angry but they treat you like your family. In one month alone with overtime I was making over $9,000 a month where most positions I worked as a technician for $18.00 an hour I was on salary for $67,000 a annual. when the company exceeds work and there was an excess in income they evenly distributed a bonus to all employees. it was by far the best experience and place to work for ever!

    Cons

None what so ever best place I have ever had the honor to work for.

    Software Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Huntsville, AL
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Leonardo DRS (Huntsville, AL) in February 2007.

    Interview

Asked some technical questions on a white board and asked about what I did in school. I was interviewed by many different people. Two software leads at the same time. Then another software lead by themselves. Get ready though once you start it's all Vxworks and embedded coding so steer clear if that isn't what you like. The Manager of the department is nice but very stern. Be prepared to work overtime and to spend nights studying to learn the concepts as they don't give time for you to learn.
