Levin Furniture – Why Work For Us?

Our vision is to be a place where people are happy to come to work and are proud of the company they work for.

We have worked hard over more than 90 years to be a company all our team members are proud to work for. Levin Furniture is about so much more than furniture. We strive to be active in our communities, and encourage our associates to share their passions with us and donate time to great causes. We source the best quality furniture and build the same positive relationships with furniture manufacturers that we do with our customers. This gives us confidence to say we are providing the absolute best quality to our customers at the best possible value.

We believe that our purpose is not just to sell furniture, but also to help people in our communities furnish their homes and live their dreams. We are in the business of providing solutions for home furnishings, and build relationships with everyone who comes through our door. Even more than that, we are privileged to partner in our local communities, investing time through events, volunteer projects, and sponsoring community initiatives.

Levin Furniture is proud to be green! Our stores attempt to conserve energy and be an environmentally responsible partner in each of our communities. Our goal is to minimize solid waste materials sent to landfills and to maximize recycling of our usable materials. At our distribution center, each year we recycle over 800 tons of material including all packaging materials, supplies and even garbage. Our corporate office leads our “green” initiative for Levin’s in attempting to recycle, reuse and conserve wherever possible. It is a way of life for Levin’s, where no opportunity to be environmentally conscious is too small.

Operations

Delivery Positions

The delivery team at Levin Furniture is responsible for more than delivering furniture, they are responsible for providing a great customer experience. This means making a great impression through a clean, neat appearance and polite manner.

We offer two main types of delivery jobs: driver jobs and helper jobs. They are very similar in nature, as both load, unload and set-up furniture. The main difference is the additional responsibility of driving the delivery truck. Our drivers must have an excellent driving record and take pride in delivering our furniture in the best condition. Both of these roles offer competitive wages and the opportunity to earn performance bonuses. No day is ever the same for Levin delivery teams.

Warehouse Positions

Our warehouse positions are integral to the success of our sales and delivery teams. It is important that we are delivering quality furniture to our customers quickly, so they can begin enjoying their new purchase.

We provide all the training necessary and will even cover the cost of proper forklift training. Our warehouse is clean and our team is committed to safety. We ensure our employees have a comfortable environment. We provide our warehouse team with regular shifts as well as paid vacation and personal days.

I worked at Levin Furniture part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked a temporary, part-time project for the company in 2016 and was very impressed. I have also been a very satisfied customer for over 20 years. The company is highly employee and customer focused and the culture is very open and welcoming. They make a sincere effort to support the local communities in which they do business. Opinions and suggestions are encouraged, the leadership team is accessible and the training provided was thorough.

    Cons

I did not experience any negative aspects of the company.

    Advice to Management

The culture is outstanding. As the company continues to expand, continue to remain focused on your most valuable assets, your employees and your customers.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Levin Furniture.

    Interview

Sent in my application online after finding it on LinkedIn, got a call two weeks later for a phone interview and was immediately sent a link to do a video interview after the phone interview. The video interview was all pre-recorded with 3 questions asking about education and why you want the position. Another 3 weeks later received an email to do an in person interview. Was sent to a drug test immediately after the interview and received an offer once the results were in.
