I worked at Lewistown Hospital full-time (More than a year)
Great co-workers! Clean environment! Take pride in what they do, and care about providing quality care to patients. Management actually listens and includes employees in current updates. They even had a holiday dinner for all staff, and upper management came in and served each shift dinner...which was much appreciated, and very thoughtful! Unlike other healthcare providers they don't seem to shy away from hiring new grads...they offer great support and training for those that are new to the industry.
If I had to include a con, I would say that the location is kind of poor...and parking can be tough. Otherwise..a great place to work. The pros most def outweigh any bit of negative.
Advice to Management
Continue to listen and support your staff!
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lewistown Hospital.
Hiring and Interview process were well structured. I began the interview with a recruiter and then proceeded to meet with the nursing manager of the Emergency Department. Prior to meeting with the recruiter, I took a personality test that took about 20 minutes to complete. After my interview, I toured the department and spoke 1:1 with a current unit secretary. Overall, the interview process was fairly easy. I felt welcomed and comfortable in the hospital environment.
Reasons for Declining
The offered hourly rate was not enough to pay for child care related expenses.
