Production includes entry-level through managerial jobs on three shifts to thoughtfully keep our lines humming in support of food, beverage and spirits. While most food manufacturing plants are hot and loud, we strive to create the most safe and comfortable facilities for our employees. Safety and Quality Control workers protect the public and the reputation of LiDestri and the reputations of LiDestri and our customers 365 days a year. Every one of our five facilities holds the maximum SQF Certification, achieving regulatory compliance on behalf of our customers.
Proprietary and Private Label Sales team members "Carry the LiDestri Bag" by promoting our own brands along with private label food, beverage and alcohol products, developing close relationships with retailers and developing a deep understanding of their product assortments and shopper profiles.
Contract Manufacturing Sales team member promote our facilities capabilities to national brands and other co-packing partners, with an eye toward expanding our role as a smart source of R&D, producing groundbreaking innovations.

LiDestri Food and Drink has a rich heritage, dating back to its founding in 1975 as Cantisano Foods by Ralph Cantisano, whose family previously founded and sold the Ragu Packing Company. By 1976, LiDestri was being managed by its current owner, Giovanni LiDestri, whom Cantisano plucked as his protégé from the Ragu production floor. At Giovanni’s urging, the company began producing pasta sauce in 1978. Since then, the company has been an innovator in sauces and salsas. But Giovanni has never been to one let the grass grow under his feet: In the past 10 years, he’s moved to diversify the company, adding spirits and beverage divisions to the food offerings and forging new partnerships such as the recent collaboration with Love Beets.

Innovative Pasta Sauces
Creating the first commercial pasta sauces in the nation that were formulated with chunks of tomatoes rather than pureed tomato sauce.
Cooking sauce outside kettles, as it travels through metal pipes to the bottling lines, preserving flavor and preventing scorching.
Being first in the industry to remove cardboard between jars as flats.

Advice to Management
Continue to get rid of the production shift managers who belittle, threaten and yell at employees, even after multiple people have gone to HR about situations where they were threatened, yelled at or been told to do something unsafe.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at LiDestri Food and Drink (Rochester, NY) in July 2017.
The interview process was timely & efficient. What I appreciated most out of the interview was the respect they had for me as an interviewee. Instead of a typical Q&A layout, it was a great balance of general questions and conversation. Not once did i feel intimidated. They also were conscious about any questions or concerns of mine. The process was concise and I was always kept in the loop about next steps and timing. Wish more companies would follow suit like this!
