Brit + Co Founder, CEO Brit Morin Talks Boards, Business & Being a Woman in Power - Glassdoor Blog

I've always thought of a company board of directors as a group of wrinkly, old men sitting on piles of money in a dark room conniving to make yet more moolah. After all, often times when boards of directors are mentioned in the news, it is in the context of corporate wrongdoings.

    Pros

Life360 has found a sustainable product market fit in the family space. If Facebook is for friends, Linkedin for work places, Life360 is quickly becoming the iconic brand for families.

In addition to the interesting product, everyone is respectful of each other's time/work. I respect the culture of Life360 and how it's scaled over time.

If you are looking for 1. Consumer space, 2. A product you can use everyday with your loved ones, 3. Growth phase company with promising next steps, Life360 could be a great place for you.

    Cons

Compared to a couple years ago, velocity of new experience development has temporarily slowed down in order to focus on quality/lay down the stable foundation as a public company.

I think of these initiatives as necessary investments for the company's future roadmap. In the coming months, I'm expecting a healthier balance between quality standards and new product experiences.

    Advice to Management

Let's keep it up! One thing to note is the importance of balance between new initiatives/quality. Life360's members are eager to embrace new and exciting experiences to make their family experience even more frictionless, so looking forward to the phase where we can build upon the high-quality foundation we are striving to solidify today.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Life360 (San Francisco, CA) in February 2015.

    Interview

After a phone screen I was asked to come in for the afternoon. During the visit I paired with one developer, answered some technical questions with another, and then chatted with the director of engineering. Everyone was pretty cool, seemed great. One week went by and then I got a form email saying they were focusing on more senior hires.
