Advice to Management
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Lifeguard Ambulance Service (Birmingham, AL) in December 2017.
After my online application was reviewed, I received a phone call to go take a drug test that was mandatory within three days of my application being accepted. Once my results came back clean, I was scheduled an interview. The process from application to interview took maybe a week. I took a typing skills test when I first came in, then met the shift leader and communications director for my interview. They asked standard questions and gave another run down of the job description and expectations.
One of our team members, Jonathan Vickery, won the R.D. Wilson Telecommunicator of the Year award at the BREMSS Banquet! He's a 10-year veteran at Lifeguard, a paramedic, firefighter, CPR instructor, and is EMD certified. Congratulations, Jonathan!
