I have been working at Local Initiative Support Corporation full-time (More than a year)
Staff are given a lot of autonomy on a daily basis. Local sites work largely independently of the corporate offices.
The company has more than 30 sites across the country. Individual employee's experiences can really vary based on the local office culture.
Advice to Management
LISC seems to be focusing on improving knowledge sharing across the organization. It should continue this effort.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Local Initiative Support Corporation.
Standard procedure, straight forward questions and really gauging for work style and culture fit.The one on one was a bit lofty but the panel review was laid back, though there was a lot of notetaking and follow up. Know yourself, know your strengths, know your weaknesses and focus on the tasks you'll be expected to do and reference them often.
