We use visual studio 2008, .net 3.5 and have 2 flat screen monitors per developer. They pay market rates.
The office has noisy air conditioning and is open plan which leads to a generally noisy office. This makes it hard to concentrate when coding. The business has only a small market of 200-300 possible clients so it goes from contract to contract and caters to every client. This also means you often get interrupted with urgent requests from the latest most urgent complaint. The company therefore is a contract based programming house and generally produces a poor product that suffices to the letter of the contract. If you want to work on a good product then don't work here.
