I have been working at Loco's Grill & Pub full-time
Laid back atmosphere most of the time. Food is pretty good. Busy times can be very profitable. They make it a point to keep out people that cause or stir up drama amongst coworkers. Management is usually pretty great about making sure your scheduling needs are met.
Not the best environment to work in, meaning the building is pretty run down due to desperate need of remodeling. The floors are always slippery due to grease or some kind of liquid always on the floor because of plumbing issues. Management can be a bit lazy and sub par at times. I've worked there for almost 2 years and never in my time there have we not been understaffed for one reason or another. Needless to say this puts more stress on the people they do have and makes the work environment less desirable. Getting help can be like pulling teeth. Upper management treats this place like the shunned little brother to the other locations, only bringing in hand-me-down equipment and never wanting to pay to fix anything that may need repair. The other locations don't have these types of problems
Advice to Management
Care more about all of your locations and not just the most profitable ones. Advertise more to bring in more business. More business means more money to be made for employees and makes jobs there seem more desirable and would therefore make hiring a little easier.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Loco's Grill & Pub.
The interview process was very quick. I was contacted by the manager at the time through Hirewire. They were interested in me and they scheduled a date for the interview. I walked in on the interview date and it was casual. The main focus was my experience in the related field. I went in for the bartender position, but then told that I would be hired as a server instead, due to a higher need of servers.
