Loews Corporation – Why Work For Us?

Loews Corporation is focused on creating superior long-term returns for shareholders through a unique structure of diversified public and non-public holdings. Today, Loews is made up of five principal subsidiaries: CNA Financial Corporation, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc., Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, Consolidated Container Company and Loews Hotels & Co.

As an equal opportunity employer, it is the policy of Loews Corporation to consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and not to discriminate on the basis of disability or other characteristics protected by law.

At Loews, our view is long; we are students of history, of market cycles and volatility. Our approach to value creation and capital allocation is driven by this perspective, resulting in a portfolio of diverse businesses that we believe is well positioned for the long term.

Annual Report 2014

We are actively seeking to further diversify our portfolio, albeit in a disciplined way. We want the right deal at the right price — either a company with good cash-on-cash returns and strong secular long-term growth trends, or distressed, undervalued assets at an attractive entry point in the cycle.

Investing in our subsidiaries is another important lever that we deploy to create value. Since 2010, Loews, our subsidiaries and our partners have allocated more than $9 billion to capital projects and tuck-in acquisitions across our portfolio of businesses. We have invested more than $1 billion of holding company cash to help facilitate transactions for Boardwalk and Loews Hotels, while CNA and Diamond have funded their capital projects and acquisitions internally.

In any given period, each of our subsidiaries can uncover new opportunities or face difficult challenges. Our conservatively managed balance sheet can help our subsidiaries ride out the challenges or take advantage of changing market dynamics to emerge stronger and better positioned.

We invite you to visit for a more detailed look into what makes Loews tick.

At Loews, while history certainly influences our decisions and actions, our focus is on the future and on creating value for the long term. We study the world around us, thinking about what’s happening today and what may happen in the days, months and years to come — and then we analyze how those potential outcomes may affect our businesses and the investments we make.

We believe it is essential to maintain this wide-angle perspective as a basis for our business strategy and our investment decisions.

At Loews, we can’t help with your home improvement needs and we don’t show movies (at least not anymore) but we can offer you an opportunity to join one of the largest diversified companies in the world.

At Loews, our diverse corporate team has experience across many industries and disciplines. We work together to provide strategic direction and services to Loews and our four subsidiaries. We value a progressive, informal and rewarding work environment in which our employees can thrive and succeed. Think open doors and shirt sleeves.

Competitive compensation and world-class benefit offerings complement the rewarding career experiences only available at Loews. We invite you to explore the world of opportunity that awaits you at Loews.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Loews Corporation in April 2013.

Multi/Trier , meet HR, meet Senior, meet Manager, meet Director and if your lucky the VP. It gets very overwhelming talking to each person, ask for water and restroom to maintain your composer. Be prepared to be there for 2-3 hours.
