A Heritage of Hospitality. A Future of Excellence
Loews Hotels & Resorts has been welcoming guests for over six decades. Today, our distinctive properties continue to offer guests the room they need, and the ultimate in upscale travel experiences, in key urban and resort destinations throughout the United States and Canada. With headquarters located in New York, Loews Hotels & Resorts has grown to include major destinations that cater to the business, leisure, and family traveler.
How It All Began
It’s safe to say that hospitality is in the Tisch family’s DNA. That’s because the notable Loews Hotels & Resorts history dates back to 1946, when brothers Larry and Bob Tisch purchased their first property known as Laurel-in-the-Pines, in the New Jersey woodlands. In just a brief time the brothers turned this hotel into a true destination. Following that success, they added more properties. Today, this innovative company has the next generation at its helm. Jonathan Tisch is the second generation to guide the hospitality company and Loews Hotels & Resorts, while Andrew and James Tisch oversee other subsidiaries. The lessons learned from their visionary patriarchs about value, service and commitment still run through everything we do and how Loews operates.
Where We’re Going
While the Loews Hotels & Resorts history is rich, we have an eye on tomorrow—and that means understanding today’s traveler. Each of Loews Hotels' distinctive properties has its own point of view. We are especially proud that each of our hotels reflects its surroundings. This is local in the very best sense of the word. And since we understand that our team runs the hotel but our guests run the show, travelers have the chance to go, do, explore—or do nothing at all. It’s about relaxation and enjoyment. Each of our properties is unique, but the one thing that never wavers is a warm, welcoming atmosphere where business travelers, families and, yes, even your four-legged friends feel right at home.

We at Loews Hotels are happy to support DonorsChoose.org. At various times throughout the year many Loews properties have special promotions that include gift card donations to DonorsChoose. This remarkable organization helps fund local educational projects and support public schools in need.
The Loews Hotels Good Neighbor Policy, the hospitality industry’s first comprehensive community outreach program, addresses issues ranging from hunger relief and literacy to green practices and the arts. Loews Hotels’ commitment to good corporate citizenship is so strong and deep that with each year the Good Neighbor Policy has evolved and grown.
Created in 1990 by Jonathan Tisch, Loews Hotels Chairman, the Loews Good Neighbor Policy is the company's formal commitment to our long-standing tradition of understanding our social responsibility to the communities where we own and operate hotels.
Loews Hotels addresses various issues of social concern and supports charities corporately, and each destination is required to conduct specific activities, including:
Donating excess food to local food banks, shelters, and hunger relief programs.
Supporting local literacy programs by providing space for classes to be held and volunteer instructors from the hotels.
Extensive recycling programs including office paper, newspapers, aluminum, plastic, and the purchase of recycled products when possible.
Donating used goods such as linens and furniture to local organizations and shelters.
Encouraging volunteer activities for hotel employees.
Implementing energy saving equipment in new hotels and in existing properties as they are renovated.
Loews Hotels Good Neighbor Policy was awarded the President’s Service Award, the highest honor given by the President of the United States for community service directed at solving critical social problems.
Minority Business Enterprise Program
While times may change, our commitment to doing the right thing has not. We still believe that our success is a result of strong relationships with partners that lead to empowered employees, satisfied customers, and an improved community. For us, that means providing economic opportunities to minority and women owned businesses through the Loews Hotels Minority Business Enterprise Program. This program gives small businesses owned by these groups the opportunity to become partners of Loews Hotels.
I worked at Loews Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)
I worked at their property in St. Pete Beach and overall enjoyed my time there. Loews is persistent on their standards and value their employees. For full time employees they give you two additional vacation days each year, free lunch, and have great travel benefits.
Finding the travel rate between properties is difficult. Some of the other properties are higher priced (New York) to where it can be costly.
Advice to Management
Overall a great experience and I would like to work for Loews in the future!
I applied online. I interviewed at Loews Hotels (Orlando, FL) in August 2017.
The first interview with HR was easy. The second with the concierge manager was also great. Another employee was training and observing the interview. They asked a few questions, but it felt really natural to talk to both interviewers.
