Logica has a very good work/life balance and allows employees opportunities to work from home if you are miles away from the office.
Very little training is offered and there is no career path that is followed. Management has little involvement in helping lower level employees expand and grow their careers.
Advice to Management
I wish Logica was able to provide more opportunities for internal growth within the company and provide a logical career path for employees to follow. I don't feel like many of the consultants are recognized for the work they do and very little attention is given to up and coming employees. You have to give employees the opportunity to grow or they will not stick around long.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LogicaCMG (Houston, TX) in August 2009.
The HR manager found my resume off of monster and contacted me for an in person HR interview. Then I was called in at a later date for an interview with the practice manager/delivery director. Then 1-3 onsite interviews with the client. They eventually hired me for a position that was different, but better than what I was initially hired for, so I ended up going through 2 additional interviews.
I negociated on vacation days and a bit on salary.
