Another Global Tech Company Eliminates Working Remotely. Say What!?!

It's hard to believe more than four years have passed since the Marissa Mayer WFH debacle. Video conferencing and unified communication vendors were some of the first to join in on criticizing Mayer, and in my opinion, rightfully so.

Logitech – Why Work For Us?

At Logitech we believe in pushing boundaries, stretching ourselves and challenging each other. We’re a place where you can be yourself and trust that others are doing the same. Anyone and everyone can be approached and we believe that speaking up drives better decisions. We collaborate together and while we all sometimes enjoy philosophizing, if something can be done now, we focus on getting it done and aim to succeed “in spite of” rather than fail “because of”.

Meet some of the people who contribute to Logitech's success and learn why they love what they do.

Logitech recruits university students and college graduates from across the globe. We regularly visit a variety of colleges to strengthen our team with the best and brightest individuals.

Our interns are introduced to Logitech executives on Day 1 and are given real-world projects. Our interns don't just grab coffees or hang around the copy machines. Our interns are showered with product sneak previews, social events, and off-site teambuilding opportunities!

Intern Testimonies:

Marcella Buckner, Community Marketing Intern at Logitech Gaming, San Jose State University’ 16, Masters Business Marketing

For so long, I was afraid to make the claim that I am a gamer. I felt it came with expectations that I didn't necessarily meet. Joining the Logitech G team as an intern, I've found there is no rulebook for being passionate about something you love. Logitech G is a place that not only welcomes, but even rejoices YOU as an individual. There is no exclusion, no 'members only' sign. Everyone has something to contribute, and everyone has something to celebrate! If you think you have what it takes, jumpstart your career with an internship at Logitech!

Niyanta Khatri, People & Culture Intern, Colorado College ‘17, Nepal, BA Mathematical Economics

In just 8 weeks time, Logitech has molded me into a more well-rounded person instilling strong perspectives on topics including, but not limited to employee engagement, corporate responsibility, expertise on leadership and collaboration on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in all areas of Logi life. My intellectual capacity has been challenged. I am able to understand the inner workings of a tech industry better, explore and understand the global communication network Logitech has, and most importantly I am fully confident that I am able to step away from this internship to grow into a young professional ready for any challenges in the world.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Logitech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

--CEO is amazing and has built and incredible group of people around him (most since his arrival).
--All about the best talent--lots of telecommuting, video conferencing and various ways that are OK to work
--Big vision for the future; Logitech will surprise a lot of people with the future and changing the world
--Super multi-cultural. HQ in both Zurich and SVC
--Very open leadership and senior team

    Cons

--Some legacy folks/leaders need to get up to speed with the new Logitech versus old school CE (forget it is about SVC and being progressive versus old school ideas)
--Trying hard to make feel smaller but the reality is that it is a global company (pro and con)

    Advice to Management

Keep it up and even move faster!
